Welcome to the website of the UK Chapter of DAMA, the international Data Management Association and the premier international organisation for data management professionals.

Data management involves the development and execution of architectures, policies, practices and procedures that properly manage the full data lifecycle needs of an enterprise.

Data management professionals are involved in a wide range of activities aimed at ensuring that an enterprise benefits from its investment in its data, including enterprise architecture, data modelling, data definition, data quality, data stewardship, and the management of metadata.

The UK Chapter was formed in late 2002 and held its first meeting in April 2003. Since then it has held four meetings a year providing interesting and educational presentations and discussion forums on data management subjects. These meetings provide significant networking opportunities and members also benefit from discounts at a number of DAMA sponsored or accredited events.
