Committee positions are held for two years - the next voting and elections will take place in October 2007. Committee ProfilesDavid Evans – Dave has worked for BT in the UK for 16 years. He currently leads a consultancy team specialising in information architecture, metadata, data quality and ETL, providing solutions for internal and external clients. He led on the formulation of, and now manages, an Information Management tools portfolio for BT’s Wholesale business and has delivered a number of collaborative working solutions. He has previous programme management experience, delivering significant components of BT’s marketing data warehouse and operator services systems, all delivering major data quality and management benefits.
Graham D Jones – Graham has more than 20 years IT experience to call upon as an independent Consultant offering strategic consulting and project management services in the Information Management arena. Areas of expertise include data warehouse architecture (including meta data integration) and implementation, corporate data and process modelling, information management planning and implementation, and development of information and application architectures. Graham has presented at data management and data warehousing conferences in both the US and the UK.
Keith Gordon – Keith established himself as an independent consultant and trainer in 1998 after a serving many years in the Army. Keith’s Army service culminated with him leading the Army’s Data Management Programme, in which he was responsible for developing and implementing the policy, standards and procedures to manage data as a corporate resource across the Army. Keith has continued to concentrate on data management in his current consultancy and training work. Keith is also an Associate Lecturer with the Open University, specialising in data and databases, and an accredited examiner for the Business Systems Development Diploma scheme provided by the Information Systems Examination Board of the British Computer Society.
Andy Voysey - Andy is a full time member of the UKCeB Task Force with specific responsibilities for Information Management requirements within Asset Management and Security with a watching brief on the Transatlantic Secure Collaboration Program. He also sits on the MOD Defence Electronic Commerce Service Programme Management Board. He completed a career as an Engineer Officer in the RAF and moved into industry in 1995. Initially he worked for GEC Marconi where he first became involved in their early e-business activities and was chairman of the Marconi CALS Steering Group. He also managed the reengineering of his business unit's PDM and Manufacturing systems interface; his first introduction to the importance of electronic data management. From Marconi he moved to Druid, a SAP consultancy both as an implementer and more latterly as a project and customer relationship manager. After the downturn in 2001 he moved to IFS Defence within the project management of IFS implementations and then to the UKCeB as a full time secondee. His primary role will be e-business activities.
Ian Sinclair - Ian is the Information Manager for Cornwell Management Consultants plc and leads their Data Quality Management service. Previously Ian worked for the Ministry of Defence (MoD) for 15 years. He has predominantly worked in the Quality Management field, with experience gained in implementing ISO 9002, Configuration Management and Information Management systems. Ian was the Data Quality Manager for the Defence Logistics Organisation (DLO), responsible for driving the organisation towards managing its data as a critical business asset. He was also a key member of The Cleansing Project (TCP), which delivered over £20M of savings to the MoD.
Dagna Gaythorpe - Dagna has been in IT for over 20 years, and has spent most of that time in data management. During that time, she has worked in a number of interesting industries (including accountancy, manufacturing, travel, utilities, and investment banking), and has been independent since 2003. She has now started to tell people about it, and has given presentations to data management and software development conferences in the UK and America, and she is a technical proof-reader of data management books.
